What is AiCarer?
AiCarer is a smart care companion designed to help older and vulnerable people, people living with chronic health conditions, and the family members or carers who support them. It runs on a smartphone and, where available, works together with a supported wearable device. The app keeps a eye on daily wellness patterns, sends helpful reminders, and can notify carers when something seems out of the ordinary. This includes things that look like a fall, injury or beyond.
Think of AiCarer as a quiet assistant that never sleeps. It does not replace a doctor, a nurse, or a loving family member. Instead, it adds an extra layer of awareness by collecting information about movement, sleep, heart rate, breathing, and other signals, then turning that information into plain language updates that anyone can understand.
When a supported wearable device is used, AiCarer can passively gather richer health and activity information throughout the day. This means carers can see a fuller picture of how the person is going, and the app can spot changes that might otherwise be missed. The smartphone remains the heart of the experience, so even without a watch, AiCarer still provides valuable check-ins, alerts, and updates.

Meet Ayla, your AI voice companion
Ayla is AiCarer's AI voice companion. She performs friendly wellbeing check-ins by speaking directly to the person being cared for over the phone, asking simple questions you can set and recording their responses. This is especially helpful for people who may not be comfortable using a smartphone screen, and for those you want to care for that will not wear a watch.
Ayla can ask how someone is feeling, whether they have taken their medication, or if anything is worrying them. Carers can see the results in the app, making it easier to stay informed even from a distance.
Who is AiCarer designed for?
AiCarer is built with two groups of people in mind: the person being cared for, and the people doing the caring.
- Older people with health conditions who want to feel safer at home, keep their independence, and know that someone will notice if their routine changes.
- Family carers, friends, and professional carers who cannot be present every minute but still want to stay informed and respond quickly when needed.
- People with low digital confidence, because the app uses large buttons, simple words, and clear screens rather than complicated medical charts, is set and forget for the end user, and for those that need it, can function without the smart watch with just wellness checks performed by Ayla.
Whether you are the person wearing the device, the son or daughter checking in from across town, or a carer managing several clients, AiCarer is designed to make the experience feel straightforward and reassuring.
How AiCarer supports
AiCarer helps in practical, everyday ways. It can notice if someone’s pattern changes, if their activity level drops, or if their heart rate and breathing suggest they may be unwell. When something needs attention, the app can send a notification to a carer/s so they can check in with a phone call or visit, allowing you to get insight between visits that can help you ask good questions and be more aware..
- Wellness logs give carers notification when events occur that are concerning, including things that look like a fall, injury and beyond, and in these moments, it shares the location of the perosn. Note: This only tracks location during an incident, it is not a continually location tracker.
- Voice check-ins with Ayla let the person being cared for answer simple questions by speaking, which is easier than typing on a small screen.
- Reports give insight into possible deterioation, changes in patterns and general concerns worthy of note, as well as little prompts to help conversation that can support better health outcomes.
- A shared care network means more than one trusted person can receive updates, share responsibility, and help coordinate care.
All of this happens in a set and forget way for the person being cared for. The app collects information passively from the wearable device and phone, then presents it in a calm, easy-to-read format.
Why AiCarer matters
As people age, changes in sleep, movement, or daily routine can be early signs that something is not quite right. Often these changes are only noticed after a fall, an illness, or a hospital visit. AiCarer aims to spot those changes earlier and inform Carers, in a way that is respectful and not intrusive to facilitate better conversation and intervention prior to an emergency.
For carers, the app reduces the worry of not knowing. Instead of calling constantly or wondering whether everything is okay, carers can open the app and see a clear status update. This means help can arrive sooner, conversations can be more informed, and our loved ones can continue living independently for longer.
